Foreign Missions
Received 2/4Dear beloved brethren, Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Just a short note to let you know that we are finishing our stay in the East. Tomorrow we will leave and head back to Yaounde Lord willing. We have had a profitable and encouraging ministry here. We have interviewed the pastors and practorium students and visited all the churches. We had a wonderful graduation ceremony yesterday with nearly 200 in attendance. Pastor Moise and brother Norbert graduated. Pastor Les preached, Pastor Raymond spoke and I gave an official greeting and report from the CGBCI. We had an incredible feast afterward and a then a lot of work cleaning up. We also went to Norbert's house last night for another feast. Pastor Les is scheduled to fly home Wednesday February 8th at 12:30AM our time. That is 6:30PM Tuesday, February 7th Ohio time. He is scheduled to arrive in Detroit at 6:31 PM Ohio time on Wednesday the 8th. Please pray for safety and making all the flights on time. Ruth will sure appreciate it. The rest of our team is scheduled to leave Cameroon on Wednesday February 15th. We will spend the rest of our time in Yaounde and then also in the West. We will be meeting with brother Samuel Ndengue and traveling with Pastor Salomon to the West. Pray for our safety. Thanks to all for your continual prayers and financial support. The priority need we have discovered here in the East is for bibles and for theological books in French for the students of the practorium. Most of them only have a Bible! We would like for them to all have at least a concordance in French and a French Bible Dictionary. We were told the other day that someone came through Abong Mbang a few months ago selling the set for about $100. We have nine students who need at least these books. Pastor Roger said that he is able to buy French Bibles right now for $4 apiece. That is half the price we have been able to purchase them in the past. If you would like to purchase books or Bibles please let me know on this email address right away and we will purchase them while we are still here in Cameroon. You can send any funds to the Orrville GBC and designate the money appropriately. God bless you all, Keith Received 1/28 Dear beloved brethren, Just a short note to let you all know that our team is doing well. All healthy and strong. Les and I have been teaching practorium the past two days. Les is teaching Greek Exegesis and I am teaching Homiletics. We spent the afternoon in the village of Cyrie with the Baka pygmies. Pastor Roger led the Bible study and there were about 20 people there. Kevin and I had the opportunity to share our testimonies, it was an encouraging time. We met Roger and Jean Louis the two pygmies that have trusted Christ. Pastor Roger announced today that they plan to begin church services there next Sunday as well as the Bible study he has been teaching. Pray for this new work. Craig will be preaching at the new church at Manpang in the morning and Les will be preaching at Abong Mbang. I preached last night to the church at Abong Mbang. Keeping very busy. Again thanks for all your prayers and financial support. God bless, Keith Received 1/25/12 Dear beloved brethren, Greetings once again from Yaounde, Cameroon. We had a challenging outreach Bible study here in the capital city last night. Please pray for the salvation of souls and also for wisdom for Pastor Salomon as he lays the foundation of a new church here. We have had a couple of days of recuperation and we leave for the East in about 1/2 an hour. Please pray for our safety and for an effective ministry in the churches in the East. We will be staying in Abong Mbang where Raymond and Roger pastor. We hope to visit Dimako, Baktala, Manpang,Bertoua and the pygmies on this trip (and maybe some other places). Les and I will be teaching in practorium and also take part in the graduation ceremony of two Practorium students on February 3rd, Lord willing. We plan on returning to Yaounde on the 5th and go to the South for a day on the sixth, Les is scheduled to leave just after midnight on the 8th. So we will bring him to Nsimalen airport about 8PM on the 7th. Our team will then meet up with brother Sam Ndjembass and travel to the coast, Douala, Beua, etc. We are scheduled to return to Detroit on February 15th. Thanks again for all your gifts and prayers. God bless you all, Keith Numbers 6:24-26 Received 1/20/12 Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ, Thanks for all your prayers and gifts. The Lord has certainly been blessing. We arrived safely with all our luggage, praise the Lord! We had vehicle issues the first week we were here. The truck we had rented needed 4 new tires and also some repairs but we were finally able to leave for the northwest last Wednesday. We were involved in the Cameroon Conference on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Keith spoke three times, Les twice and Craig once. Pastor Raymond, Pastor Sam and Pastor Felix also spoke. The theme of conference was the Second Coming of Christ. Pastor Afoni did an excellent job of coordinating conference. We left on Monday morning to start visiting the churches in the northwest. We have had four grueling but profitable days visiting the pastors, churches, practorium students etc. We are now in Bamenda where our vehicle once again needs repairs. Pray the Lord will continue to keep us safe and expedite our truck repairs. We have discovered once again that there are many needs here in the churches. The recurring one is for Bibles and tracts. We hope to purchase some here in Bamenda today. One New King James Bible is about ten dollars. We also need $400 for practorium needs in the northwest. We hope to visit Pastor Isaiah in Ndop today and also Tambo Zambo who is leading the work in Batibo, pray for our safety. We will leave on Saturday Lord willing for Yaounde where we will meet with Pastor Salomon and the church on Sunday and then leave for the East province on Monday by God's grace. We hope to take part in a graduation service for two of the practorium students as well as teach in the practorium and visit the churches in that area. Kevin and Sara are already pros in spite of this being their first trip. We are all well so far thanks to your prayers. Thanks again for all those who gave to make this trip possible. We have only been able to access the internet twice since we have been here. God bless, | Home MissionsDecember 2011 Home Mission Praises and Prayer Requests Metro Jewish Missions - Evangelist, Rev. Jeff Kran Well it's the year 2012 on the Gregorian calendar, and along with the swallows that migrate to Capistrano, the Kran's will be moving to Arizona. We have a couple who is sincerely interested in buying our house and we are working with them and the bank to see if the Lord will actualize these plans. Please pray to that end! As we enter this New Year, we thank all of you who have been along all throughout our journey, as well as those who've newly joined our team. While we were shooting for a commissioning service in March with our last Sunday being April 15, 2012, we have moved the commissioning service, with encouragement from our sending church, to April 15th. While I am on spring tour Marlene will be heading to Arizona to make final arrangements as far as our immediate housing when we arrive there. She will be accompanied by Gavi and Rivkah, who also will be checking out area colleges. Rivkah will complete her time at Word of Life in June and we will be thrilled to have her join us shortly thereafter as we begin this new adventure. She will also be a tremendous help to Marlene! Along with my speaking in various churches there is a tremendous amount to do to make sure all will be ready for us to watch as Vermont recedes into the rearview mirror. At Midyear Meeting I hope to share a little bit about my plans and ministry philosophy for the Arizona field; after all, Jewish Missions presents some unique theological questions. As I close I am looking out the window at a typical New England snow and realizing that next year at this time the cactus will look quite different from the maple trees! Thank you for your prayers and financial support. None of this would be possible without you!
